




Three Sister Planting - Multi Pack of Seeds
Three Sister plantings are a traditional native way of planting corn, beans and squash together in mounds. This is a symbiotic grouping as the corn provides structure for the beans to grow on, the bean plants fix nitrogen into the soil, enriching it, and the squash plants provide shade to the soil, retaining moisture, and help keep pests away from the corn and beans.
Corn - Anasazi Sweet - 2 TBS
Anasazi Sweet Corn is an ancient grain. Useful for both eating fresh and drying to be ground into cornmeal. Its colorful kernels also make it great for fall decorating. A drought resistant variety, the stalks grow around 6 feet tall, and produce cobs with multi colored kernels. When the silks start to turn brown harvest while kernels are mostly yellow and white for eating fresh, or leave on the stalk for it develop deeps colors of reds, blues, it can then be harvested for drying and grinding, or using as decoration.
Pumpkin - Zucca Tonde Padana - 25 seeds
This is a very unique winter squash/ pumpkin. It has distinct vertical stripes all the way around. When fully mature they alternate between green and yellow. A heavy producer. The flesh of Tonda Padana is sweet and dry.
Beans - Hopi Black Beans - 2 TB
This is an ancient variety of bean, drought resistant and high yielding. Half runner, bushy with some vining shoots. Reaches maturity in 85 days. Can be used both as a green bean and as a dry bean.
