This shrub grows as a perennial in warmer climates or as an annual in colder areas. It also can be grown in pots. It has small flower and then will put on a small, seed filled, red berry with a papery cover. When those covers turn brown it is time to harvest the root. The root can be dried and ground for medicinal use.

Grows best in a warm, sunny area, with well draining soil. Drought resistant. 2-3 feet tall.½ tsp pepper seeds

Medium size and medium strength chili pepper. Similar to a jalepeno, but red when ripe and sweeter.
