Grow rice in your garden. This is a cross between Carolina Gold and Hmong sticky rice that does especially well in our gardens. It can be grown as a paddy rice or as an upland rice. As we are in a dry area we grow it on drip irrigation using about 20" of water per season for an abundant harvest. For best results start the rice in soil blocks first then transplant to your garden when they are 3-4 inches tall. Space 8-10" on center. Harvests in the fall.
