Quail Bush is a California native shrub that as the name implies is a favored habitat for the California Quail a beautiful ground dwelling bird that used to be common in this area but has suffered from habitat destruction. This plant is drought resistant and can handle harsh conditions and alkaline soil. It has interesting silver grey foliage and the plants will spread out as they grow. It attracts a variety of birds with its shelter and seeds.
