Jujubes are some of the most drought-tolerant fruiting trees you can grow! They are pretty trees with glossy, small green leaves that turn vivid yellow in autumn. Called "Chinese Date", the fruit is sweet, reddish brown when ripe.

They are very productive and early bearing, and the fruit needs hot summers to ripen well. In cooler summers, before fall rains return, pick them half brown and half green and bring inside to finish ripening.

They are also awesome for attracting pollinators to your yard, so all your other fruit and vegetable plants will produce more.
