This CA native shrub is drought tolerant and wonderful habitat for our native insects. It gets its common name from the seed pods that look sort of like a bladder in the fall. Beautiful yellow flowers in the spring.

As is true with most native plant seeds it can be slow to germinate in climates different than where it is gathered. Our seed is produced in Tulare CA and germinates and grows well in similar climates.
